it has been updated and yes there is a KNOWN issue with the steam version of the far cry 4 map edit program , as well as a new driver issue was posted in April 2020 with Nvidia's drivers version 445 .75 ..please see the first post as well as go thru the Ubisoft troubleshooting guide here
Now I wanted to try Far Cry 6, because I never played any Far Cry before but always wanted to try it. So I bought it on the Ubisoft Store with a great Black Friday deal. So now to the problem. The Game doesn't start. When I open it, a small Far Cry 6 Image comes up and thats it. Here are the steps to remove corrupt Far Cry 3 game profile: First, open File Explorer and open the Documents folder. Now, navigate to the My Games folder and open the Far Cry 3 subfolder. Next, from the folder, select the GamerProfile.xml file. EDIT - Probably just luck but I installed Ubisoft Connect Launcher from desktop mode, added it as a non steam game and then ran it from game mode under Proton Experimental. Then ran Far Cry 4 and it worked. Restarted the Steam Deck and made sure it still ran and it does. Hope this works for you also.
Once in, find the folder named HKEY-USERS and open it. Inside find a folder named S-1-5-21-xxxxxxxxxxx (the x are different numbers for everyone) Open that and find Software, open and find Ubisoft, in there there should be a folder named Far Cry 4, Delete it, you wont lose your save games. Just to be safe make a backup of your save.
